Between failed attempts to make “The Rachel” work on our locks and unrequited crushes on Luke Perry, let’s just say the ’90s were an awkward time for many of us. But damn did the decade have some danceable music — otherwise the YoYoYo ’90s Dance Jam, the monthly throwback bash from the boys of Soul Clap (pictured), wouldn’t still be going strong almost five years after its founding. And we’re especially looking forward to getting down to those (sorta) old-school grooves at this Tuesday’s installment at the Middlesex Lounge (315 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, 617.868.6739), as Soul Clap has teamed up with 100 Beds for Haiti, a campaign focused on providing tangible relief to the devastated country. Its goal is to send 100 beds to Haiti’s overwhelmed Sacré Coeur Hospital, where many sick and injured patients are currently sleeping on cots, stretchers, benches, and floors. Donations will be accepted at the door, and the party starts at 10 p.m. Can’t make it tomorrow night? Consider donating online at 100bedsforhaiti.com.
