The Biggest Balls Award

We're pleased that Saint, the once-sizzling Copley Square Hotel nightclub owned by Brian Lesser, got an overdue makeover. The new incarnation, Storyville (90 Exeter Street, Boston, 617.236.1134), has fantastic atmosphere, evoking a French Quarter bordello, and a powerhouse opening team: former Sel de la Terre chef Louis DiBiccari and craft-cocktail maven English Bill Codman (ex-Woodward). But Storyville is also the name of Boston's most historic jazz club, which in this exact location in the 1940s provided a stage for many of America's greatest jazz luminaries. The new Storyville had better live up to that epic history, or Lesser will have to answer to the ghosts of Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, and Billie Holiday.
