Welcome to One Night in Boston. As you’ll soon see, this magazine looks a bit different than a traditional issue of Stuff@night. We’re used to telling the story of Boston’s nightlife in words. But for this issue, we decided to tell that story in pictures. Every photograph you see in this magazine was taken on the evening of July 18, 2008. Our goal was simple: send a host of talented young photographers out into the city’s streets, restaurants, bars, salons, and stores to capture the scene in an entirely new way. From the South End to Somerville, Brookline to Back Bay, Chinatown to Harvard Square, our photographers blanketed the area and trained their lenses on nearly every facet of local nightlife.
