You know, we lived in the suburbs once. And city-dwellers though we are, sometimes we actually return to them. For beauty purposes, Newton is our favorite destination. We've long respected the Penna family over at Salon Capri (31 Lincoln Street, Newton Highlands, 617.969.1970), home of the interactive L'Oréal Professionnel Haircolor Center (one of only 10 in the country), and we were thrilled to hear about the new partnership between James Joseph helmsman William George and JJ stylist Igor Vasiljuk in Fulham Salon (847A Beacon Street, Newton, 617.340.6360). Now a Newbury Street favorite, MiniLuxe (792 Beacon Street, Newton Centre, 617.332.9200) also launched here - plus, there is a bevy of other spas, salons, and beauty shops we've still yet to explore. Perhaps a road trip is in order?
