Ask around - to editors, hairstylists, designers, boutique owners, and the like - and, if Dani Wagener's name doesn't come up as one of the most sought-after makeup artists in Boston, you're asking the wrong people. Wagener, who calls Shu Uemura (130 Newbury Street, Boston, 617.247.3500) home base, exhibits an impressive range in both styles and techniques; plus, she's totally grounded and ridiculously nice. When she's not jetting off to Fashion Week or being called upon by her celeb clientele, she's the type who's always willing to squeeze in that last-minute lash application or brow style for us regular folk
