City skylines, the waters’ edge, a summer night, a mobile lounge, and copious vodka — there’s no better way to spend a Monday night. The Grey Goose lounge on the Fan Pier is the newest hot spot in the burgeoning Seaport District that has seen a flurry of activity since the Volvo Ocean Race and PUMA City made their illustrious arrival. For Social Scribe, this gave us one more reason to drink outdoors. A damn good reason.
The Grey Goose bash was filled with professional, highly skilled drinkers. Social Scribe was in good company. As we walked into the teal blue-lit lounge by the sea, we stumbled upon Bacardi hottie Sharon Lilien-Zwiebel (try saying that ten times fast …we did and sounded legally drunk, without even one cocktail!).
Soul Clap DJs Eli Goldstein and Charlie Levine were rocking out in their booth while we slinked our way over to the packed bar. While in line, we ran into a satin-covered dead-ringer for New York of I Love New York infamy. We felt we were in the presence of VH1 royalty. The likeness was uncanny; however, we realized she was a fake when we noticed, well, her lack of fakes.
We overheard an over-styled Max Buccini recalling his tales from Las Vegas, which we gathered were grittier than those from the film Leaving Las Vegas (we’re certain the inhabitants of the city of sin collectively breathed a sigh of relief once he finally did).
We then realized that there was a spy in our midst. Martignetti uber-cougar Theresa Morris, seen sporting her new bob cut, peddles for rival Belvedere. But we’re all friends after a few Goose and tonics, right?
Condo queen Erica Farthing was seen looking like she was fresh off an exotic beach (or fresh off the tanning bed — we couldn’t tell). Meanwhile, J.B. Hauck, owner of the Living Room, was decked out in full suit and tie (we suppose that the Living Room’s pajama brunch makes one feel like a little dress-up time is in order). Speaking of PJs, Social Scribe had to jet out early to get some R&R ... Monday nights are usually our one evening off from week-night drinking!
