It wasn’t Michael Schlow, the
Boston celeb
chef who flamed out of Top Chef Masters in one episode. Rather, we were riveted by Andy Husbands,
chef/owner of Tremont 647 (647
Tremont Street, Boston,
617.266.4600), who appeared on Hell’s Kitchen, woozily tottering at the lip of the Fail Chasm for
nine straight weeks before finally tumbling in. His surprisingly long tenure
made host Gordon Ramsay’s trite drill-sergeant-with-rabies shtick almost
bearable. As consolation, Andy should remember that his restaurant actually
makes money, unlike the American ones Ramsay owns.
