After what seemed like the longest winter ever, a drowning Dow Jones, and marauding monkeys in the news, we all could indulge in a few deadly sins these days. So rejoice! Church restaurant and bar in the Fenway area has just the thing for a night of reckoning.
Try their Altar Offerings, which include fried green beans with lemon aioli, crispy semolina-crusted artichoke hearts, duck spring rolls with shiitake noodle salad, ahi-tuna tartare tacos with chili, lime, and mango salsa, and more ($5–$9). On the lighter side, there are the thyme roasted almonds, warm herb-marinated olives, or wasabi peas ($2–$4).
Shoot a little pool in the bar, check out some of the local bands that play almost every night, and pick your poison from their Seven Deadly Sins cocktail list or the extensive beer-and-wine menu. It’s like heaven on earth for the sinners who only come out at night.
