Instead, make a statement with the I'm Not a Plastic Bag reusable shopping tote ($15) from high-end UK accessories designer Anya Hindmarch, which arrives in the US just in time, considering recent Boston City Council talk of banning plastic shopping bags. The totes were an overwhelming success among stylish, eco-friendly Brits when they went on sale at the end of April, and 26,000 bags sold out within hours. Approximately 35,000 more are hitting the US market on June 20; while they won't be available in Boston stores, online preordering kicked off earlier this month at www.anyahindmarch.com.
