Presented by Rafael Sanchez, Chris Harris, and Bon Ton Productions, Epic Saturdays at the Roxy (279 Tremont Street, Boston, 617.338.7699) launched in late October. But the night truly got its start in July, growing out of a weekly Saturday event at Avalon that moved to the Roxy when the former closed its doors. Typically catering to a gay crowd, the night has begun attracting an unprecedented mix of gay and straight; it's in their unanimous passion for the music that the crowd finds its common ground. Epic's producers bring in superstar DJs from around the world to man the tables, and they're hoping to incorporate some local acts in the future; tracks range from house and deep house to high-energy vocals. Doors are open from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., and the cover charge is $10 ($15 after 11 p.m.).
