Dance Craze at T.T. the Bear’s

It's a first for T.T. the Bear's (10 Brookline Street, Cambridge, 617.492.BEAR): a weekly DJ/dance party called Dance Craze, happening every Sunday. The inspiration? The room's large dance floor, bad-ass sound system, and Central Square location - plus the fact that getting people out for Sunday-night live music tends to be in vain. With tunes from a different DJ each week (it's DJ Ford E. Buxworth on the 2nd; the act on the 9th was TBA at press time), the night is a musical mélange, though the northern soul, ska, and rocksteady genres are mainstays. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and the music runs until at least 12:30 a.m.; cover charge is $5.
