Good thing, small package

We’ve already told you about LUPEC Boston (a/k/a Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails). We’re a little infatuated with the cocktailsavvy group of women who’ve dedicated their sipping hours to resurrecting longforgotten
drinks and, through fundraising events, doing good for other local women. Their latest project, The Little Black Book of Cocktails ($15), is a peek into their cocktailrecipe coffers: on its pages, along with gorgeous blackandwhite
images, you’ll find each member’s namesake cocktail (Hanky Panky, Fancy Brandy, and Pinky Gonzales, among others) plus drinks developed by local mixologists (Tom SchlesingerGuidelli’s Jaguar, Pimms Cup Punch from John Gertsen) and some created by the LUPEC ladies themselves. The book is available at Magpie (416 Highland Avenue, Somerville, 617.623.3330) or by emailing lupecboston@gmail.com, and proceeds are being donated to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s Friends Boutique.
