THURSDAY, JULY 10 – SUNDAY, JULY 27
Oui, mes cheries, c’est le temps! For those of you who haven’t studied French since high school (or who find waiters correcting your pronunciation when you order pot au feu or andouillette), this means “Yes, my darlings, it is time.” We’re referring, bien sur, to Boston’s 13th French Film Festival. Don your beret, pick up a croissant, and head to the Museum of Fine Arts (465 Huntington Avenue, Boston, 617.369.3306) for more than two weeks of Gallic flicks, including 21 area premieres. You’ll catch familiar faces on screen, including Audrey Tatou in Hunting and Gathering, Gérard Depardieu in Michou d’Auber, and Daniel Auteuil in Conversations with My Gardener. Tickets are available for each screening ($10; $8 for members and students), or you can see them all with a Festival Pass ($150/$120) or 10 films with a Half Pass ($85/$68).
