Dick’s Last Resort (Quincy Market, Boston, 617.267.8080) hosts its first annual golf tournament and afterparty, with tee time at 9 a.m. at Sandy Burr Golf Club (103 Cochituate Road, Wayland, 508.358.7211) and a postparty that kicks off at 3 p.m. at Dick’s. The tournament is part of Dick’s fundraising effort for the Marine CorpsLaw Enforcement Foundation, which provides scholarships to children of active-duty Marines and federal law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The $125 cost per player covers a surf-and-turf dinner, Sam Adams beers, margaritas, and live entertainment. Just hope you don’t get awarded the shameful “At Least We Finished” prize, given to the team finishing dead last.
