Is there life on Mars? We may never know, but one thing we can be sure of is that as long as there are cosmic mysteries — and glitter, eyeliner, and platform boots — there will be electro-glam rockers to sing about it. In the tradition of Bowie, T. Rex, and Roxy Music comes local quintet Logan 5 and the Runners, who’ll be releasing their debut studio album, Featurette, at a CD-release party tonight at Great Scott (1222 Comm Ave, Allston, 617.566.9014). So far, their biggest claim to fame is that they’re the first glam band to record an album in a barn. But with glittery icons as their forerunners and bold use of a toy organ made by Mattel circa early 1970s, the limits are cosmic They’re joined by the Daily Pravda and the Luxury.
