Some things never get old. Take, for instance, macaroni and cheese, James Bond movies, and New Wave music. We’re not here to wax enthusiastic about gourmet interpretations of classic comfort food or debate which brainy hunk made the best Bond, but we can tell you that when you need your loud electro/postpunk fix, DJ Paul Foley has the cure (if you will). One of the few remaining DJs in the city to use vinyl exclusively, he’s long offered Twist and Crawl, a night that warps you back to the early 1980s with its extended New Wave mixes, at Oliver’s (62 Brookline Ave, Boston, 617.536.4840) every Saturday. But now he’s bringing it to Church (65 Kilmarnock Street, Boston. 617.236.7600) for a night of electronica-infused nostalgia that’s easy to dance to. The evening will also include a performance of his live band, Wasted Talent. It starts at 9 p.m. (doors at 8) and there’s no cover.
