SUNDAY, MARCH 1
Each Boston neighborhood has its own distinct character, and little captures that personality better than the restaurants (like they say, you are what you eat). South Boston is arguably the fastest-changing neighborhood in our capital city, and its dining options show it. For the seventh year, the South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation is organizing A Taste of South Boston at the Seaport Hotel (1 Seaport Lane, Boston, 617.385.4000). Let your palate be your guide as you taste your way through the Southie of old (Kelley’s Landing and Yankee Lobster Fish Market) and new (Sweet Tooth Boston, Sportello, and Flour). Tickets are a delectable $35; proceeds benefit SBNDC’s O’Sullivan/Costello Preservation Fund, which purchases property for affordable housing in Southie. For tickets, call the SBNDC at 617.268.9610.
