Boston spots with exceptional food and music are hard to come by (unless hot wings and local cover bands really do it for you). So skip the horrid rendition of “Wheel in the Sky,” put on your tightest jeans, and head to Privus (165 Brighton Avenue, Allston, 617.787.7483) for its featured-DJ nights. Every Thursday through Saturday, guest DJs spin music that perfectly accompanies the sleek lounge’s crab rolls and vodka sodas. The music is stellar, and the dance floor is ... well, it’s tiny. But if (like me) you have no moves, listening to the music and people -watching from the corner is just fine. February 28, Montreal’s Axel Klein, Bons, and DJ Tom spin the beats. Plus, Privus is next to that college-kid watering hole, the Kells — makes for interesting smoke breaks.
