FRIDAY, JUNE 26
Online dating services are so 2004. The new trend? Finding
the one guy with the right nut for you. (And no, we don’t mean that in a dirty
way.) District
(180 Lincoln Street, Boston, 617.426.0180) is hosting a Nut
& Bolt Party for singles who are tired of the
drink-too-much-and-see-who-you-wake-up-next-to scene. Remember fellas, bolting
in this case does not refer to your plan for the next morning.
Instead, each guy will be handed a nut, and each lady will get a bolt; the goal
is to chat with everyone until you meet your match. If you make a
perfect pair, you could win cash or Sox tickets (hey, a night at Fenway might
make a nice first date). The entry price gets you your hardware, appetizers,
and the possibility of a really cute “how we met” story to tell the grandkids.
Tickets are $15 in advance at 617.458.6554 or $20 at the door. The search for
love and lug nuts starts at 6 pm.
