... at Fashionably Late with Habit at the Liberty Hotel
Pam Santorelli, co-owner of Habit
We had to talk to the co-belle of the ball because
we absolutely loved her white ruffle dress from BB Dakota.
She is totally fine with white after Labor Day
and is all about "winterizing" her look with a chunky sweater and leather
boots.
Almost all of her clothing is from Habit, but she
resists the urge to buy absolutely everything in her store by keeping her tiny
closet in mind.
She's most excited about fall's bold colors -
"I'm so over black!"
She thinks the most difficult part about putting together a
fashion show is choosing the clothing. "There's so much to choose
from!"
Leila Moore, co-owner of Habit
We were immediately drawn to her insanely awesome
Alexis Bittar necklace.
We also loved her lady-like Mad
Men-with-an-edge look.
She loves the idea of mixing high-end with
vintage and mid-priced clothing: "This dress is from the house of Habit and is
only $78. It's all about the high-low mix."
She's most excited about fall's mini dresses
paired with tights and boots because it's "sexy but also warm!"
When it comes to the Mad
Men fashion craze, Moore reminds us that "you have to mix it up and modernize the look to make it your own."
Kelly Galligan, student at Bentley University
We were drawn to her adorable headband and
pretty-meets-preppy look.
She found her sweet Juicy Couture dress in her
roommate's closet.
Aside from her roommate's closet, she loves to shop at
Betsey Johnson for printed looks and shorter-than-short party dresses.
She's too busy studying to pay attention to
fashion trends on TV but does appreciate Project Runway and often
gets fashion inspiration from The Real Housewives of New York City.
Her obsession with fashion began with sassing up
her high school uniform with funky accessories.
Randy Gross, photographer
and model
We picked him even though he is slightly
overexposed these days (just kidding, sort of) because we
couldn't resist taking a picture of his preppy-chic vintage look.
His vintage pants came from the costume
department of his high school; they were left over from Bye
Bye Birdie.
Most of his clothing comes from "the sale racks
at Filene's Basement. I exclusively shop sales."
You will never, ever find him in a jacket; he
only does cardigans - "I don't do dressed up."
He uses his connections as a photographer to get
him into black-tie events and jacket-only establishments.
