Wing lariat or carved wood angel wings?

GET THIS...

Try as we may, we're far from angelic. Between our extreme road rage (anyone who takes a left off of Mass Ave is an annoying moron) and those late nights at Toro, we aren't going to be sprouting wings anytime soon. That's why we want to wrap ourselves up in this wing lariat ($150) for a flight of fanciness. Each necklace is handmade by Somerville-based jeweler Emily Scott of e.scott originals (escottoriginals.com), who adds a little punk to her homage to the feathery appendages. The sterling silver wings are punched and pounded into pretty pairs and twisted onto the ends of a 30-inch raw leather cord. So wear it draped and long or twisted and tight (our preference, obviously) - because, in the end, no one really cares who actually earned their wings.

... OR THAT

Since our devilish ways extend to our at-home antics, some divine intervention for our décor is in order. We have fallen for these carved wood angel wings ($45), which are currently perched at Matsu (259 Newbury Street, Boston, 617.266.9707). This winged pair is carved from light-weight wood and hand-finished for an antique look. Measuring about 18 inches wide, this piece is delicate and subtle but substantial enough to make an impact when hung on the wall or over a doorway (or a bed - just sayin').
