Bingo is no longer relegated to church basements and the grayhaired women who frequent them. Seriously. District Restaurant & Lounge (180 Lincoln Street, Boston, 617.426.0211) puts a new spin on rolling the balls with their justlaunched “Not Your Granddaddy’s BINGO” night. Think of it as a chance to get a head start on your retirement-age activities while you’re young enough to throw back a few cocktails and still maintain your letter-finding skills. The games run from 6 to 8 p.m.

Have a Heart for Hearts Fundraiser at District

Wine-induced dancing? Great. Sipping vino to help promote heart health? Even better. From 7 to 10 p.m., a night-at-the-races-themed Have a Heart for Hearts fundraiser ensues at District Restaurant & Lounge (180 Lincoln Street, Boston, 617.426.0211) with a wine-tasting hour, appetizers, and a chance to win swag from local restaurants and salons. Yes, there’s finally a party in town devoted to hearts that has nothing to do with romance or cupid. Love it! Tickets ($35) are available at specialevents@districtboston.com; proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.
