FRIDAY, MARCH 6 & SATURDAY, MARCH 7
Irish eyes will be smiling under the heated outdoor tents of the 16th annual St. Patrick’s Festival at Harpoon Brewery
(306 Northern Avenue, Boston, 888.HARPOON). The two-day celebration of
the patron saint of Ireland (and, presumably, of really good beer, too)
includes Harpoon brews such as Irish Red Celtic Ale; Emerald
Isle–inspired eats from Boston Event Specialists; live music from U2
cover band Joshua Tree; and local acts Dicey Riley, Dennis Sullivan,
and the Gobshites. Tickets ($20) are available only at the door and
include one beer ticket and a souvenir cup. After your first beer, it’s
a cash bar. The party runs from 5:30 to 11 p.m. on Friday and 2 to 9
p.m. on Saturday. Too drink to drive? Hop a complimentary shuttle
between South Station and the tents. ...
