THURSDAY, APRIL 30 Yeah, with the mercury making a tentative trip into the sixties when we’re lucky, we know that the warm weather is on its way, but we are ready for something hot right here, right now — and Cedric Gervais, resident DJ of Space nightclub in Miami, is coming to our rescue with some fresh South Florida flavor. The French-born DJ has been behind the turntable since the tender age of 15, spinning at some of Paris’s most legendary clubs before he was even allowed to drink there. He found a fitting new home when he moved to Miami in the late nineties, and he’s been heating things up there ever since with his signature blend of hard house and tribal funk. The DJ who has been called “King of South Beach” brings his sizzling beats to Rumor (100 Warrenton Street, Boston, 617.422.0045). Doors are at 10:30 p.m., and tickets are $25 in advance at http://boston.going.com/gervais or $30 at the door. ...
