Do It For the Kids

We usually have zero interest in kids with trust funds (well, not the snotty ones, at least). But the Boston-based nonprofit Children’s Trust Fund is a cause we can’t help but get behind. Its second-annual Leap into Spring Fashion Show at Vinalia (34 Summer Street, Boston, 617.737.1777) will raise funds for the organization’s parenting programs to combat child abuse and neglect, while supporting Massachusetts designers. Featured fashions and jewelry will include handmade wire-and-stone necklaces from DiSpagna Designs LTD, chunky baubles from Catalina de la Torre, as well as spring-inspired, feminine frocks by Emis Couture and funky knits from Blue Alvarez. Proceeds from ticket sales and the night’s live auction will benefit the kids. From 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., sip cocktails courtesy of Pinnacle Vodka (or opt for the booze-free water bar from SmartWater) and nibble hors d’oeuvres. Spring rocks the runway till 12:30 a.m. Get tickets ($30 or $40 for premium access, including a swag bag) at www.anthemevents.com or upon arrival.
