to produce the cotton for one T-shirt, according to treehugger.com. My
friends and fellow greenies, it is time to make your wardrobe
eco-friendly. It’s not news that designers and manufacturers are
jumping on the earth-conscious bandwagon and creating clothes with the
planet in mind, but here’s what is: it’s easy to support clean industry
without sacrificing style by shopping the just-arrived spring
collection from Toggery by Kate D’Arcy. The casual, 100 percent
organic, Supima cotton (read: totally cozy) V-neck, racer-back Tory
tank and the understatedly sexy Sienna boat-neck T-shirt dress in basic
black or petal pink are prime examples of Toggery’s eco-fabulous
threads. And they’re easy on the wallet; nothing in the collection tops
$100. Stock up on these layering basics at the Velvet Fly (424 Hanover
Street, Boston, 617.557.4FLY) and Habit (703 East Broadway, South
Boston, 617.269.1998). Because let’s face it, chemical-laden clothes
are so last season. Listen to Julie on 101.7 WFNX — every day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. ...
