HOT PUP LOVE: Pawsh Dog Boutique & Salon
by Stuff Boston | July 28, 2009
Love your adorable little cuddly-wumpkins enough to swaddle her in a pet-sized poncho or a sassy little T-shirt? Well, even if you don’t love your dog or cat quite that much, you and your pet will appreciate the collection of organic treats and durable toys at Pawsh (31 Gloucester Street, Boston, 617.297.2045), a two-story pet boutique in Back Bay. Owners Nancy and Mike Maida aim to please the chipper Chihuahua and the burly German shepherd, as well as that frisky Persian cat. Pawsh’s shelves are brimming with, ahem, necessities, including Red Sox pet paraphernalia, custom Bowsers beds, locally baked treats, squeaky toys (even a “Chewy Vuiton” purse for the doggie fashionistas), and BOWHAUSNYC wallet-sized, portable water bowls. Pawsh also offers functional items and services, including a slew of retractable leashes and collars, pet grooming, and food delivery ($3 after an initial complimentary delivery) in Beacon Hill, the South End, and Back Bay. Picky pet? The Maidas will special order merchandise to suit even the choosiest canines and kitties.
