About Michael Diksin

Math was never Michael’s best subject. The word “algebra” gives him hives. Realizing this numerical aversion was far more powerful than he, Michael gave up on his dream of becoming one of the world’s most sought after certified public accountants in order to pursue a much more creative career. Needless to say, the Internal Revenue Service was thrilled by this decision. In addition to being Stuff@night’s Creative Director, Michael also acts as the Corporate Creative Director for the Phoenix Media/Communications Group overseeing the creative efforts of many of their companies including The Boston Phoenix and the FNX Radio Network. Riddled with A.D.D. and always in pursuit of his next creative buzz, Michael has expanded on his graphic design background by adding photography, fashion, and writing to his resume. His popular, reoccurring column Saturday Night Live is a first person account of life in Boston intended to bring humor to the pages of the magazine and quite often shame to his family and friends. Michael has been with Stuff@night from its inception, which if he weren’t so damn bad at math, he would tell you was over 11 years ago.
