Barbara Lynch
At this point, we think it’s safe to refer to Barbara Lynch as a Boston icon. After all, she’s responsible for an upscale Beacon Hill eatery (No. 9 Park), a South End oyster bar (B&G Oysters) and neighboring wine bar/meat market (the Butcher Shop), a catering company (Niche Catour), and a produce shop (Plum Produce). And Lynch isn’t allowing her weighty workload to slow her down. She has a test kitchen/culinary classroom/foodie bookstore going in next to Plum in late spring, and has three concepts in the works for late winter 2008 near the Fort Port Channel: a fine-dining hideaway, a cozy breakfast-and-lunch stop, and a nighttime hangout with a strong focus on cocktail craft. And look for Lynch’s first-ever cookbook, which comes out next spring. We sure wish she’d keep busy.
