Frances RiveraThere’s no one we’d rather have wrap up our day, so we’re glad she’s on call no matter what time we finally make it home, grab a cup of tea (or slug of wine, depending), and switch on the news. Frances Rivera co-anchors 7NEWS on weeknights at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. with Randy Price, and the CW56 10 p.m. newscast with Matt Lorch. She joined the station as weekend evening anchor in 2001 after stints in Oklahoma City and Wichita Falls, Texas, and quickly moved up the ranks, earning several Emmy nominations and winning in 2003 for outstanding anchor. But even if the experts weren’t gushing, Rivera’s journalistic know-how, on-screen poise, and fantastic sense of style would still keep us tuning in. And dare we admit we always get a little thrill when we spot her out at parties?
