“We’ll see a little bit more of a trend toward classic cuts, but people still want fashion and brand names. They’re still willing to spend the money, but I think people are looking more toward things that are going to last longer both style-wise and quality-wise. Funky-looking things are moving more slowly than the more classic cuts.
“Women are still a little bit more willing to be experimental; guys are definitely a little less so. Guys buy jeans like they buy a car: they want to know how it’s made and all that stuff. I’m definitely seeing a lot less color. Things are pretty muted, yet have small pops of color. Muted plaids will be very big.
“Accessories are one area where there’s so much going on right now. It’s a good way, especially for women, to make many looks like their own personal look. Boots ar huge. We’ve got a boot that women love, it’s by LD Tuttle, and it’s a convertible boot. You can wear it like a short ankle boot or a knee-high boot. We’re going to see that continue into the New Year.”
