Stuff Boston

Tickled pink

It’s a constant conundrum for us, especially in the summertime: red wine or white? We love the bite of a good, chilled vino bianco, especially when temps are creeping up around the 90s, but what if a red is what best complements our meal? Now the fabulous folks at Eastern Standard (528 Comm Ave, Boston, 617.532.9100) have made the decision even harder (in a good way): they’re offering a Drink Pink wine list of nine rosés, all $8 per glass — and all perfect for sipping while lingering over dinner on the restaurant’s lovely patio. The wines hail from such diverse grapegrowing regions as Austria, France, South Africa, Spain, Long Island, and California; options include an Austrian Tegernseerhof Zweigelt from 2006 (try saying that 10 times fast after you’ve knocked back a few glasses), and a Mas de Gourgonnier grenache blend from Provence.
