Players 2008

NO, THEY’RE not forged from marble, and there’s no need to worry about them flinging lightning bolts from the top of the Prudential anytime soon. But there is something godlike about the 25 people (and groups of people) we’ve chosen for our annual list of Boston’s business-launching, change-affecting, decision-making players. Rising above the masses, they’re the ones who truly set trends, encourage innovation, and make things happen in our city. They’re on all the elite guest lists, know all the right people, and are generally considered the coolest by their friends. Looking for inspiration? Read on to meet your new best muses.

Ok so let me get this straight: The only "players" in Boston these days are white (and one Asian, one black, and one Indian) men and solely white women? Oh sorry, there's one Asian woman, right? Yeah, pictured with a white man. Do you have any idea how preposterous this feature looks? Shame on you, Stuff@Night. I don't live in town any more but I gotta believe there are people of color who are in the game, too. You have to think about diversity, and think hard about it. Better luck next year...but I'm not holding my breath.

Who ever wrote the comment on diversity is an idiot and probably does not have a happy life....... Oh its Amy Conner!!!! Who seems to be a very negative being. Instead of looking for beauty in life she seeks in writing pointless comments. Did you ever think that the chosen ones where chosen because of the things they achieved not because of the color of skin? Trust me none of us Boston public will be holding our breath for you! Your the type of person we don't want in this city. We are trying to make Boston more fun and less political.........
