Personal Shopper: This Year, Stuff Stockings with Gifts as Unique as Everyone on Your List
If we had the luxury of spending days away from the office
grind to go shopping for our loved ones, the gifts we'd give them in the
festive weeks ahead would be as thoughtful and sentimental as our gushy holiday
hearts could muster. But too often, those calendar pages creep by us faster
than we realize. Suddenly, we're haphazardly grabbing at a tie for Dad (any one
will do!), ordering a gift certificate for a manicure for Mom (she lives in the
suburbs - she won't care which spa!), and re-gifting hideous sweaters and ... ahem ... fragrant
scented candles from Christmases past (no one at the office party will be the
wiser!).
Not this year. Times are tough (cliché, but true), so ‘tis not
the season to shower family and friends with a heaping sleigh-ful of generic gifts.
We're focusing on quality over quantity: you wouldn't pick your pals out of a
catalogue, so why choose their presents that way? If you only have the time and
money to grab one gift, make it matter by making it meaningful. STUFF
tracked down some personalized, customizable, and one-of-a-kind
ideas to inspire you; some won't break the bank, while others are pricier
pieces reserved for your nearest and dearest. But like friends and snowflakes
and hangovers, no two are exactly alike.
