Yeah, yeah, we know April’s supposed to be the
cruelest month, but March in Boston can be downright maddening: just when it
seems spring is right around the corner, we’re suddenly dumped with a foot of
snow. So we think the French were onto something when they dubbed March le
mois des fous — “the month of the crazies.” The folks at Gaslight
Brasserie du Coin (560 Harrison Avenue, Boston, 617.422.0224) evidently
feel our pain. All month, they’ve been offering $5.95 specialty cocktails and
complimentary bar nibbles, like Gougeres (Gruyere cheese puffs) and Devils on
Horseback (dates stuffed with blue cheese and wrapped in bacon). Their “Le
Mois des Fous” offerings are available from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and from 10:30
p.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday. And yes, that sadly means that
tonight’s the last night, so be sure to catch this crazy deal before it
disappears.
