Clothing trends come and go — sometimes fast
enough to give us an acute case of wardrobe whiplash — but jewelry often proves
to be an investment that stands the test of time (or at least that’s what we
like to tell ourselves). Tonight, you can indulge your love for the shiny stuff
at Shake the Tree (67 Salem Street,
Boston, 617.742.0484), where local jewelry designer Nora Elton will be
presenting her spring collection. Elton specializes in crafting delicate gold
earrings and pendants accented with semi-precious stones, and she’ll be on hand
to mingle and answer questions about her one-of-a-kind wearable art from 6 to 8
p.m. Plus, you won’t have to browse on an empty stomach: the boutique’s North
End neighbor Grezzo, a restaurant specializing in vegan and raw cuisine, will
be providing complimentary cocktails and tasty bites to fortify you as you
contemplate your next “investment.”
