052909 Get Out

You could spend your Friday night forking over $10 for a watered-down cocktail to sip while hunting for hot (okay, acceptable) guys, or you could spend that money on a ticket to the last Man Panel of the season and up your odds on your next night on the prowl. Since last fall, Boston-based writer Laura K. Warrell has hosted the monthly series dedicated to demystifying the male sex and solving local ladies’ dating dilemmas. Her method? Going straight to source. So this Friday, head to the United South End Settlements (566 Columbus Avenue, Boston, 617.536.8610) with your best girlfriends for the chance to ask men of all ages and backgrounds what you really want to know. Find out why Mr. Seemingly Right stopped ringing and whether men really fear those three little words at this month’s installment, "Love and Committment and Marriage, Oh My!"  Stop by at 7 p.m. for snacks, drinks, and mingling before the panel gets down to business at 7:30 p.m. If you’re still up for it after the brutally honest Q&A, head to the bars armed with what-men-want knowledge, and you may not have to reach for your wallet to get that overpriced drink. Tickets are $10 at the door and $8 in advance at www.manpanel.com.
