With a name like Boudoir of Horrors, you might think tonight’s early Halloween show and shindig at The Beehive (541 Tremont Street, Boston, 617.423.0069) is a spoof on your last ill-advised one night stand (alternate titles being The Gnarly, Scratching Toenails from Hell! and Beer Goggles from Beyond the Grave). But actually, this theatrical offering from the NYC-based Pinchbottom Burlesque troupe features a sexy mad scientist whose “erotic experiments” go awry, resulting in a scarily sexy good time. There’s no cover for the event, with dinner reservations starting at 5 p.m., the show starting at 8 p.m., and the evening running until 2 a.m. Besides the stripteases, ghoulish go-go dancers, and plenty of rum-based themed drinks (the grenadine-complemented “Virgin’s Blood” sounds particularly promising), there will also be a burlesque retelling of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven.” So if, once upon a midnight dreary, you have pondered weak and weary over many a quaint and curious Halloween event to explore — well, we think we’ve found a pretty seductive offering this evening. Need you keep looking? Nevermore!
