We don’t often get to treat our ears and our taste buds simultaneously. Let’s face it: the soundtracks at many dining spots veer into elevator-music territory, and concert fare isn’t exactly foodie-friendly (the idea of shelling out 16 bucks for a warm beer and a suspicious corndog is enough to ruin our appetites). So we’re excited about Eat Your Heart Out Boston, a feast for multiple senses happening this Sunday at Fenway favorite Church (69 Kilmarnock Street, Boston, 617.236.7600). From 6 to 8 p.m., Tim Cushman of O Ya, Tim Weichmann of T.W. Food, Jamie Bissonnette of Toro and Coppa, and five other stellar local chefs will be serving up music-inspired small plates. If the thought of a beef-tongue tribute to Kiss doesn’t stir you, the indie rock bands — Deer Tick, You Can Be a Wesley, and Coyote Kolb — taking the stage from 8 to 11 p.m. should be enough to blow both your mind and some subwoofers. Plus, the evening benefits local charities Future Chefs and Zumix, which provide mentoring and support to young cooks and musicians, respectively. A night in the Hub that’ll satisfy our culinary, musical, and charitable appetites, all for less than what a nosebleed seat at the Garden would cost? That’s music to our ears.
